Habitat: In mangrove roots, coral reefs and artificial substrates. Distribution: Bermuda, Florida, Curaçao, Guadaloupe, Belize, Panama, Brazil. Characteristics: The incrusted colonies are orange. The zooid has 11-13 rows of stigmata in the pharynx, 7-10 folds in the stomach wall and a very long pyloric caecum. The single ovary is anterior to the testis; the male gonad is comprised by 10-20 folicles.
